I had a great experience from my appointments, and all the way up to my surgery. Dr. Shane Barney is super professional, very calming, and there are no dumb questions when it comes to asking him something. He made me feel comfortable and welcomed at every appointment I attended. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Dr Shane Barney performed my TransUrethral Resection Procedure on July 24th 2025. From beginning to end, the diagnosis the treatment and the surgery could not have been better!!!. Being that we had to deal with one of the most sensitive parts of the body, I was worried. Throughout everything they knew how to minimize all the discomforts which were very very minor. At the facility on Treeline Park I was able to observe my own tissues while the doctor explained what we were looking at and what needed to be done. Fascinating experience and very informative!!! The next phase was the actual surgery. I remember being wheeled in and all of a sudden I woke up what seemed like a moment later wide awake feeling absolutely no pain. There was the discomfort of the catheter which was minimal. Never have I been under anesthesia like that and woke up without being drowsy or feeling drugged. The next day the catheter was removed and I only had one episode where there was blood in my urine. From then on it was like I never had any problem. Dr Shane Barney, his assistants Candy and Samantha and the rest of the staff could not have been nicer and in my opinion the results could not have been better!!! Anyone having urinary issues will be well advised to choose these people to trust for the best results!!!

Dr. Barney is a brilliant physician and surgeon who provided me with surgical relief from a significant problem. I had an excellent outcome, with no complications. His surgical nurse, Candy, was also very helpful: she answered all of my many questions quickly and fully! And their front office staff is consistently kind and professional. They are a great team!

Dr. Barney is truly an exceptional physician. Dealing with urological issues can be stressful, but Dr. Barney has a fantastic bedside manner that immediately put me at ease. He is a great listener, genuinely caring, and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. I felt like a valued person, not just a patient file. I am very happy with the outcomes of the surgical procedure to remove kidney stones, with the research to learn how to reduce stones and the recommended Axonics implant to help with continence issues. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone needing a compassionate and skilled urologist. Dr. Barney’s staff is second to none with procedural efficiency, comfort and follow through care.

Dr. Andrew James and the entire staff at Texas Urology Group are exceptional. The office staff were friendly, efficient, and made scheduling appointments promptly.This is the best medical experience I've ever had. Dr. Andrew James is not only highly skilled but also explained my Husband’s condition prostate cancer and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand. He answered all our questions thoroughly and provided several options. He took the time to listen to my Husbands concerns without making him feel rushed. His kindness and reassurance made a significant difference in my Husband’s overall experience.
